Overview
The Breakers Quarter is Bonetown’s processing and holding district. In v0.28, its Slave Pens became an implemented storage service operated by Cobb Cage; other documented facilities remain planned.
Before v0.28, the district was only named in the Bonetown scene and had no implemented internal facilities. The Slave Pens are now its first active service; Mother Iron and the remaining district functions are still planned.

District facilities
The Breaker’s Yard
The Breaker’s Yard is designed as a repurposed mining warehouse used for obedience training and physical conditioning. The planned operator is Mother Iron, an experienced and feared trainer associated with Bonetown’s processing system.
The Kennels
The Kennels are planned underground barracks for new acquisitions awaiting processing, branding, or sale.
The Slave Pens
The Slave Pens provide long-term boarding for owned companions while they await later retrieval, sale, or assignment. Cobb Cage charges a 50-Credit intake deposit. Boarding costs 1 Credit for each elapsed calendar day and is paid when the companion is retrieved.
Auction wins normally go directly to a free Vault cell. If no cell is available, Vex warns the player and Cobb boards the lot at the Pens instead, adding the same 50-Credit intake charge to the hammer price. When a boarded companion is sold through the Auction Block, accrued boarding fees are deducted from the sale proceeds.
The Branding Tower
The Branding Tower is planned as the official registry point where ownership transfers are recorded and claims are legalized.
Current and planned gameplay functions
- Obedience, Charisma, Strength, and Stamina training modules.
- Conditioning and resistance-breaking mechanics.
- Fear, Relation, obedience, and skill-development systems.
Companion storage is currently available through the Slave Pens. The remaining functions are documented design goals rather than currently available gameplay.
Current and planned NPCs
- Cobb Cage: Current operator of the Slave Pens and its boarding service.
- Mother Iron: Intended operator of the Breaker’s Yard and its training services. She does not currently have an implemented interaction or public wiki profile.
Relationship to Bonetown
The Breakers Quarter’s documented purpose complements other parts of Bonetown:
- The Rattle Market handles auctions and commercial exchange.
- The Arena District provides combat competition and public reputation.
- The Breakers Quarter is intended to handle conditioning, training, storage, and ownership registration.
Dangers and restrictions
- Bonetown’s documented law treats interference with conditioning schedules, branding queues, or transport manifests as a serious offense.
- District gameplay details may change substantially before implementation.
